Eternal Reefs offers a memorial choice that replaces cremation urns and ash scattering with a permanent environmental living legacy. A ‘Memorial Reef’ is made of environmentally safe cast concrete that is used to create new marine habitats.  Eternal Reefs takes the cremains of an individual and incorporates them into the cement mixture designed to create the reef formations. The memorial reefs are taken to a curing area and then placed in a permitted ocean location.

Way prefer this idea versus being cremated or buried, I’d like to my remains to be something useful, especially somewhere as peaceful as the ocean. There’s this calmness underwater that you can’t find anywhere else. Not too sure about the cement part though..
